Barlockart Wind Farm, Dumfries and Galloway

West Coast Energy has a proven track record in the development of wind energy projects. This turbine wind farm southeast of Glenluce, consists of four turbines, each having a vertical blade tip height of up to 115m and a rotor diameter of up to 92.5m.

It is expected to generate enough clean electricity to power over 4,400 homes. Each turbine has an installed capacity of between 2 and 2.5 megawatts. The total CO2 savings is expected to be 200,000 tonnes.

Due to the unique self healing properties Xypex’s crystalline matrix grows through the capillaries and pores of the concrete mass.

Xypex Admix was specified by the design engineers as the stand-alone waterproof solution for the plant rooms, and plant room service tunnel to completely seal the concrete to ingress of water and aggressive ground contaminants that could corrode the reinforcing steel.
